t baje Cricket Betting – A complete guide to smart betting on BPL, T20 and international matches
Which markets to bet on in each cricket format, how to read odds, and how live betting works — all explained in plain English.
Cricket's three formats and Bangladesh's favourite tournaments
Before getting into cricket betting, it helps to understand the formats, because the betting style differs slightly for each one.
T20 is the fastest format — matches finish in just 20 overs and odds shift from moment to moment. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) is played in this format and is the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. Betting interest on t baje also rises noticeably during the IPL season.
ODI, or one-day cricket, has 50 overs per side. Odds shifting mid-innings is normal here, and Over/Under markets on run totals tend to be more active.
Test cricket is a five-day game. A draw is a possible result, so there are three markets — Team A win, Team B win, or draw. Pitch conditions and weather have a much bigger impact in this format, so it is worth keeping an eye on those factors before betting.
During the ICC T20 World Cup and other international tournaments, the highest number of markets on t baje are open. Betting volume is naturally higher for any Bangladesh Tigers match.
Betting on football and other sports — how it differs from cricket
t baje is not limited to cricket. Football betting markets are also active, but there are some key differences between the two sports.
In cricket, innings, wickets, runs and overs each generate separate markets. In football, Match Result (1X2), goal lines and both-teams-to-score markets are more common. A T20 match finishes in about 3 hours, similar to a football match. But in Test cricket there are five full days of betting — something not possible in football.
Another difference is the role of the draw. T20 and ODI cricket have no draw (a tie is rare and settled under separate rules), so markets are split mainly between the two teams. In football a draw is a common result, which is why three-way markets are more common there.
t baje also offers markets on other sports such as badminton, tennis and kabaddi. However, in-play markets for those sports are generally not as detailed as those for cricket.
Cricket vs Football
Cricket's 6 popular betting markets
Match Winner
Which team will win the match — this is the simplest market. In T20 and ODI there are only two options (Team A or Team B). Example: if you pick Team A, your bet wins only if Team A wins.
Most commonToss Winner
The only market decided before the match starts. Pick which team will win the toss. The result has nothing to do with match performance — it comes down to the coin.
Quick resultTop Batsman
Which batter in a given team will score the most runs. Recent form is useful to consider for this market. Example: which opener from Team B will score the highest.
Player-focusedTotal Runs Over/Under
Whether the combined runs scored by both teams will be more (Over) or less (Under) than a set figure. Example: in a T20, the target is 315 runs — pick whether the combined total will be above or below that.
Numbers gameMulti Bet
Combine multiple markets into a single bet. If all selections are correct the return is much higher. But if even one is wrong the entire bet loses — so it is worth reading the betting FAQ before placing one.
High riskTime of First Wicket
At what run total or in which over the first wicket will fall — this market is especially popular in T20 and ODI. When the opening pair is strong, betting patterns in this market shift accordingly.
Early innings betOdds in three formats — how to read them
On t baje, odds are usually shown in decimal format, but knowing fractional and American formats is also useful.
Here is an example showing the same price in all three formats:
| Format | Odds | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | Total return of ৳3 for every ৳1 bet |
| Fractional | 2/1 | ৳2 profit for every ৳1 bet |
| American | +200 | ৳200 profit on a ৳100 bet |
Example 1 — Team A to win, bet ৳500
Odds: Decimal 3.00 = Fractional 2/1 = American +200. If the bet wins, total return is ৳1,500 (৳1,000 profit + ৳500 stake). If the bet loses, ৳500 is gone.
Example 2 — Team B to win (favourite), bet ৳500
Odds: Decimal 1.80 = Fractional 4/5 = American −125. American minus odds show how much you need to bet to make ৳100 profit. In this case, a ৳500 bet returns ৳900 in total (৳400 profit).
The favourite generally has lower odds (for example 1.80) and the underdog has higher odds (for example 3.00). Higher odds mean a higher return, but the chance of winning is usually lower — worth keeping in mind.
Live in-play betting — change your bet while the match is on
In-play betting lets you place bets while a match is in progress. On t baje, odds update after every over, and markets change immediately when a wicket falls.
Say Team A makes a strong start in the first 5 overs — their odds to win will shorten and Team B's odds will lengthen. If Team A's top batter gets out cheaply before settling in, the picture reverses.
The advantage of live betting is that you can make decisions based on how the match is unfolding. Keep in mind that in-play markets can close or be suspended quickly — especially at key moments (such as just before a ball is bowled).
In-play betting in cricket offers more variety than in almost any other sport, because the market picture changes with every over and every wicket. This is what makes t baje appealing to cricket bettors.

A ৳100 bet returns ৳581 — but only if all three selections are correct. If any one of them is wrong, you lose the full ৳100.
